CAMPING DEL MAR

 Situated on the Coast Rd at Plage Nord, Argeles-sur-Mer, across the road, just 500 metres from the blue-flag sandy beach.  Open 9 months annually, from 28th March, or Easter, whichever comes first, till 7th January, to incorporate the Xmas/New Year holiday. MAGNIFICENT NEW SWIMMING POOL which is open from June till September, as is the On-site Shop and Restaurant. Launderette, children’s play area and  tennis courts open 9 months. There is main drainage and electricity and calor gas bottles available to purchase on site to run your hot water and cooking supply. Electric or gas barbecues are allowed.

SPECIAL VIEWING OFFER! 25 euros per night PER HOME or 160 euros per week, 250 eu for 2 weeks, 325 eu for 3 weeks and 400 eu per month. Only available during dates as stated above.

The park is planted with majestic pines with red squirrels (local ones are browny/black) searching for nuts, glorious, many hued oleander bushes, waving palm trees, aloe vera and other exotic Mediterranean plants. You may also hear a barn owl calling at night.

ABOUT THE REGION   This region boasts approximately 300 days of sunshine each year. The Pyrenees and the revered Mount Canigou tower as a backdrop to the resort’s sandy beaches. About one and a half hours drive takes you up to the ski resorts. Every form of water sport is to be found here. Argeles has a magnificent port and is magical at night for al fresco eating or just watching the world go by! If you prefer a more active life-style drive up into the foothills of the Pyrenees for rambling, para-gliding, horse riding etc. There is an excellent golf course at St Cyprien less than 15 minutes drive away.  Visit Ceret's  modern art museum, or the famous Salvador Dali museum at Figueres- less than an hour’s drive. There are several spa villages in the area, and  the glorious Artists' Village of Collioure which is the next village down. Drive or cycle along the cliff path to take in the stunning views.

Latest flight arrivals are Perpignan at 5pm as the office is closed. You may book a Bed & Breakfast overnight and come in next day.
